Hey guys! If you're like me, you applied to The Ohio State University for Developmental Psychology for Fall '21. Your status is still pending and there is very little information available about the timeline for their decision making. I wanted to create a place for people to share any updates they have received, discuss research interests, or even to just vent as we wait it out together. Wishing everyone luck and sanity.
Has anyone heard anything recently from OSU. I'm still waiting to hear about Developmental Psychology. It seems like a lot of people haven't heard anything according to the grad cafe results page, their application still says pending, and no one knows their timeline for when we should be hearing anything.
Keep your head up. If you don't get in this round, you can always get more experience this year and reapply. Those programs are incredibly competitive. Not getting in is not a reflection of who you are or what you are capable of. Sending positive vibes your way!
Same. The not knowing is driving me crazy. The fact that this feeling could go on for months is pretty darn near torture in my opinion.
That sounds awesome! I'd like to study parenting, focusing on new parents, co-parenting strategies, and maternal gatekeeping of infants.
Is not receiving an interview a bad sign or do they typically do them in batches? I know Covid has put a strain on the process, but not knowing anything is driving me crazy. I desperately want all the waiting to be over so I can just get in and start learning again.
What is everyone hoping to study? What are you research topics?
