I am also caught between Georgetown MSFS and SIPA MIA. Are these programs similarly regarded? How do the network and job opportunities compare? I'm not married to being in DC/public sector forever and would like to explore possible non-profit work post grad.
I realize how lucky I am to be in this position, but I'm super new to this grad school thing so I'd appreciate any sense of strengths and weaknesses.

I looked at last years thread and there were a considerable number of people who got into SIPA MIA who were active and shared their acceptances. Also someone was waitlisted and notified on the same day as the acceptances. I think one or two people didn't know the day of and they didn't post again.
All of that is to say it would be very unusual for only one person to get any sort of notification on drop day, but definitely possible given how competitive everything this year is I guess

There's no precedent for releasing decisions on weekends right?
On the one hand I'm like well I've waited for months what's one or two more days? But on the other hand, I'd reaaaally like to know today haha

Last year they did a blog post on Monday March 9 (the week of the decisions) and said decisions will come this week, and official decisions "on or around March 15" (which was a Sunday). Don't know if it's meaningful that we didn't get a blog post this year.

Not to be a big pessimist, but I do think if this email meant we were getting in for sure, they'd just release the decisions. I don't think it's particularly meaningful, just a few more weeks of waiting ?

Hi, has anyone received any update from SIPA about when decisions will be out? According to last year's thread, it seems decisions are always released on Friday or Monday.
I think the website said "mid-March" so I suspect it won't be today, although wouldn't that be great! Probably towards the end of next week or the following week, unless anyone has any better info!

Same here! ? I am in Boston and no magazine so far ?
Smaller city on U.S. East Coast, no magazine! And in re: the other discussion, I also got an invite to apply for the PEPG fellowship and my interest is very far from education policy, so I second that it probably went out to everyone

When are we expecting MSFS to come in?
Looks like last year it was March 4 (which was a Wednesday). Ugh, really hoping it's this week! All this waiting across the board has been killing me

Is this just MPP or also MSFS coming out right now?

Oh duh, thanks

Dumb question but what is the results page? My application status looks the same (with my address and the checklist of materials) ... is it somewhere else?

Same for me. Don't know why they needed all the extra time then?
