That does seem concerning. You would think with an excess of applications this year they would have enough to fill the programs.

I received no scholarship as well. It would come in the acceptance letter if there was any. What program major are you considering?

Painting/drawing. It's hard to find a lot of info about the program on line. I would have loved to be able to visit the campus and facilities before making concrete decision.

Thanks for the response, I'm glad your friend is liking it! When you say laid back what do you mean? I'm looking for an intense critiquing environment and am wondering if its something they provide?

I'm thinking of Pratt for painting. Does anyone know how good the program is or have any friends who went? Its hard to find a lot of information about it outside the school website.

I applied to Parsons, Pratt, UCLA, Hunter Cuny, RISD, Yale and Columbia MFA programs. So far I have had one very promising and positive interview with Parsons and I have been rejected by Yale. (The program at Yale was a super longshot with only 3 spots open in my area, so I had no illusions of getting in.) But has anyone heard of from any of these other programs? I am also wondering if they're going to request interviews too.

I applied to Pratt as well but have heard nothing. I don't think anyone else on here have heard from them either. I'm applying for painting. How about you?

You're correct, that was an assumption on my part. I read some articles on there being more applications in economic down years, but I'm not sure if that applies to the Covid situation and art schools.
