I am wondering if anyone has any wisdom to offer for those of us who have been waitlisted/made alternates for admission for PhD programs at major universities. I was waitlisted for Vanderbilt and am wondering how the process works and if they select from the waitlist on a rolling basis or if they make offers after the April 15 response deadlines for admitted students.
Got notice that I was an alternate for admission for Vanderbilt via US mail. Letter was dated 2/17. I interviewed and was also included in a meet and greet with current students early February.
Email acceptance at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary today. Garrett asked for an April 1 response. I am not sure when Vandy expects responses from admitted students.
