This isn't the sociocultural anthropology thread, this is the Art History thread. Has anyone heard from Yale ART HISTORY? What about Stanford art history? I have a feeling these random interviews are trolls or mistakes or something because if most people in here applied to these two programs, I am sure that some of us would have heard something about an interview by now. I will be seeing the Stanford DGS on Saturday and will speak with him then to see what's going on over there...

I interviewed with Yale this past Friday and had an independent meeting yesterday with the Professor I hope to work with. Didn't apply to Stanford so not sure about that...

I should have known based on your username, lol.

How did the interview/conversation go? Did they give you a sense as to what the process/timing is like?

I think it went well! It ended up being with two faculty members and they asked the standard questions and some more specific ones regarding my research. I'm not sure though what their timeline is, slipped my mind to ask at the end ?

Has anyone heard about interviews at all? I'm not sure what to expect, I've heard from some friends that their program didn't have interviews, but reading through last years thread- seems like quite a few have! I've applied to 3 PhD programs. The wait is the worst!

I have an interview (?) or at least a meeting with a faculty member from Princeton Art & Archaeology tomorrow.

I also have not heard a peep from Williams... I'm surprised no one has posted an acceptance on the results board seeing as several people from this site are typically admitted in mid-February, but who knows - especially if they are interviewing.

I wouldn't totally give up hope if you haven't heard, in any case - they seem to keep a number of people in limbo and then send a few more acceptances right before April 15. I am pretty certain at this point I'll accept the offer I have (which is a specialized program for my subfield), but I would really like to have a full picture of all the options before I commit!

I got an email from Williams today with an offer of acceptance to their program. I interviewed last Monday, and heard from the program admin that they would not be doing any more interviews after March 9th.
