Hi I am international applicant and have got admits from USC and OSU for the Master's program in Electrical Engg (no funding). As of now I am planning to proceed for a PhD after the Master's. Which university offers better research options in the fields of power systems, sustainable energy. Also if i am not able to immediately pursue a PhD after the Master's (and therefore will have to look for a job), which of these universities will offer better job prospects. What is the situation like with regards to internships at both the universities.? Any input is appreciated.

I had the same question. Thanks speed for posting this. I asked a few people and they said its a better idea to name a research group that you are interested in as more people will be interested in reading your Sop. I don't know if its true, but it makes sense. Anyway thanks everybody for the other answers. Jake
