    SAIC pros/ cons

There are lotteries for all visiting artists/critics I've heard everyone is guaranteed one visit with Jerry saltz (this goes for the painting program, dunno about others)

    Tyler

Finally made my mind up....Philly here I come!

    Tyler

It's between Tyler and Rutgers for me....not 100% sure, but I'm leaning much more towards Tyler at this point. The potential funding package at Rutgers is what is making this decision difficult. but I honestly think I'll bond more with Tyler. Do you have your portfolio online?

    Yale Interview

well my paintings have been shipped back to me....i can only assume they've already made their decisions. i talked with the financial aid office and was told to wait until monday to send my tax return, because they're notifying people sat/sun for the painting department. I'M FREEEEKINGGGG OOOOOOOOOUTT!!!
  5. SAIC...interview and waitlisted, opted to take my name off, because I wouldn't find out anything until June MICA Mt. Royal...interviewed and waitlisted, called and asked where i stood on the waitlist, was told I was pretty high on the waitlist, but I'm not sure I can wait to find out. MICA Hoffberger...rejected Rutgers...accepted, waiting on funding info...called, they haven't made final funding decision yet Hunter....rejected Tyler...accepted w/ guaranteed one year TA which totals to about 20k (everyone gets the same deal) Yale...interviewed, waiting for the final verdict. should know within the week getting close to decision time.....

    Yale Interview

Given what I've read about replies in past years, i'm pretty sure it'll either be Friday April 1 ( ) or Monday the 4th.

  11. I think saic only gives one full ride in printmedia....so you got the next highest amount of funding they offer.

    Yale Interview

Peter Halley made it a point to say that if we made it this far in the process that our work has Yale's respect. He stressed unforeseen factors that accompany the decision process. I think I did better in this interview that at SAIC and MICA. I got hang out with the grad students all day, and attended a lecture that was pretty incredible....I'm not sure I was technically supposed to be in it, because I was the only non-grad student in there....but it was incredible.
  13. heard from saic via snail mail yesterday.....waitlisted the fact that i felt that i did really well in the interview, has me worried....especially with my yale interview coming up later this week
  14. After you login at the bottom is a link to the letter.....this is for painting.
  15. Margo margolis said funding is distributed evenly among the 7 grad students accepted...I don't know how much that is yet.
