Going to RISD's Digital Media program... BURSTING WITH JOY!!!!!! Anyone else going?

Hi, What do you think is better for New Genres: CMU or RISD? I have to decide between the two and it is being awfully hard... any help would be appreciated!

same problem here.... and i've got until April 1st to decide because of CMU's financial offer. It's a very tough decision!

It is quite informal, but I had the interview today (for de D+M program) and at the end they told me "Welcome to RISD!". Awaiting funding information now, hopefully before April 1st, to choose between CMU and RISD.... I am so tired of thinking and speaking of graduate school every day for the last year or so, it will be such a relief to finally get into it!

Yes I think the same about notifications.... Well, I guess I'll ask RISD at the interview, and if it doesn't go allright I'll sign for CMU and a heart shaped box.

Well, my heart is on my girlfriend and a three year MFA might be too much for her. Funding is also an important issue, so if risd said 'all right come on in with 50%' i would say RISD, but it would still be a difficult choice!

I just received a letter from CMU, offering me an assistanship and a very important tuition discount. Problem is, In order to get these benefits I have to accept their acceptance letter by April 1st and neither CalArts nor UCSD have made offered any funding yet. To complicate further complicate things, I have the RISD D+M interview tomorrow and I seriously doubt that they will have made their selection before April 1st! Any advice?

I've got mine too! And it was extrmely dull...

Yes. They sent me an automatic letter telling me that "there was a change in my status" and giving me a link. Once there I downloaded the rejection letter. Anyway, it is for the New Genres program.

I've just received a rejection letter from UCLA. New Media program. Hope it helps.
