Alright, so I STILL haven't heard a thing from UPenn BGS. Admissions is ghosting my emails, invites/accepts/rejects have all gone out. Should we just conclude that I'm rejected? I applied to pharmacology btw.

Apparently UPenn BGS has started issuing rejections today! Where’s my rejection??? Anyone still haven’t heard back from them?

Received interview invites from Drexel, Jefferson, and Temple. Rejected from Mt. Sinai. still waiting to hear back from Penn BGS-Pharmacology. Anyone know when their interview dates are or if I should assume a silent rejection if I haven’t heard back by now?

I’m right there w you. Their first interview weekend is coming up in a couple weeks, so I’ve already kinda expected the worst. Anyone know if Penn is done sending out interview invites?

I applied to Sinai as well and haven’t heard anything. I’m confused as to what’s taking them so long because their admissions is rolling and I remember their application portal stating that review would begin in September??

The BGS website says they review applications in December and January, so that would definitely indicate they send out invites in batches seeing as they’ve sent out invites as early as the 7th. Moral of the story is I need to stop checking this forum so often, lol

I’ve seen a handful of people post interview invites since 12/8 or so. I’m still waiting for a response from Penn, but I have no idea if they send out invites in batches or all at once but I do know they have two interview weekends scheduled for Jan and Feb. if all invites have already gone out then I def got a silent rejection and probably won’t be notified until later ?

It seems like UPenn is taking the same approach as Harvard regarding decisions

Undergrad: BS Biological Science from mid-tier state university (3.0 GPA) Graduate: Post-bac 1 yr taking graduate science courses (4.0) Research: 1 semester undergrad in pharmacology lab, 3 years as a full-time research technician post-grad in immunology/neurovirology lab Publications: 1 mid-author paper submitted, several mid-author papers in review Presentations: N/A Background: 25F White and Chinese, first-gen graduate student and first time applying to phd programs! While my undergrad GPA will definitely be my downfall, I have solid LORs (1 current PI, 1 previous PI, 1 current post-bac prof) and personal statements were carefully crafted to show honesty and passion. No GRE.

hello hello I applied to Jefferson IMP, UPenn Pharmacology, Temple BMS, Drexel MI, and Mt. Sinai BMS (all programs all under a Biomedical Science umbrella program). Haven't heard back about interviews yet and am starting to get really antsy... I've also been feeling discouraged throughout the process bc my undergrad GPA was very low.
