I was also admitted to UVA with no initial mention of funding either way in the letter. I emailed the chair, and he said this meant I missed the first round of funding, but that there is always a 2nd round of offers sent out, based on who turns down the first round (the way he phrased it did sound optimistic about my chances) and he would be in touch about the issue. So yea if you have no interest in UVA, please tell them. Also, has anyone heard anything from upenn?
