Last year they never updated anything on the website at all to say if they were received or not! I just followed up with my references and they assured me they submitted everything.

Is anyone applying the the PHD combined program at western? How exactly did you go about reaching out to potential supervisors? I’m considering submitting an application for the audiology PHD combined program as well, but unsure about what to say or how to approach these individuals!

I’m wondering something similar, or prehaps Dal is waiting until after the 15 to send out waitlisted to see how many they seats they could potentially fill before even making a waitlist?
I have been at a total loss trying to figure out why it’s been almost a month of not hearing and the only reason I can think of is that they got way more applications than they were expecting and are struggling to keep up.
However… perhaps more people will have committed to other university’s and Dal will have more seats when they do send out offers? Maybe this could be good? I’m trying go stay positive but I’m struggling to at this point. I’m feeling frustrated waiting for Dal I must say.

March 17 which is about the same time they started sending out acceptances I think!

I also haven't heard from dal, however some people received acceptances before they even acknowledged receiving my application, so I think they are genuinely making their way through the pile!

Hey! Western calculates your GPA based on the last 20 half-credit courses taken, which is equivalent to two years of full-time study. So if you took 8 courses last semester, they'll count those plus the 12 that are listed before it on your transcript. I have never applied to Dalhousie so I'm not sure how they calculate it there. Hope this helps!
Do you know how they choose which courses to take if it equals more than 20 midway through one the final semester they take? Would it just be the highest or is there a method?

Hey! I applied and was second quadrant waitlisted for audio/SLP at western in 2022.
I took this year off to finish a bachelor of education second degree program and will be reapplying. Would love to be added to a group chat!
