@Diab0018 I hope you continue your pursuit of becoming an architect. I obtained my B.Arch in the USA and then got my license overseas based upon that degree. Obtaining a license really widens your opportunities in the longer-term so I hope you get into a NAAB or CACB accredited school to enable that! Best of luck! PM me if you'd like to talk.
Has anyone else not heard from Berkeley City and Regional Planning PhD admissions? I've seen someone was accepted, someone rejected, and someone waitlisted around 20 February. Admissions mentioned they are still reviewing applications. What could this mean? Thanks!
Interesting that Cal Poly is not a member of the 15 April Resolution https://cgsnet.org/resources/for-current-prospective-graduate-students/april-15-resolution/#:~:text=The April 15 resolution is,that also include financial support. Perhaps call (and then write) to ask for a little more time?
Please check whether these graduate schools requesting your early decision are part of the Council of Graduate Schools at the 15 April Resolution. Those schools cannot require your reply before 15 April. Report them!
UIUC informed me they had forwarded my application to the admissions committee and mentioned notifications would start coming out mid-January, however I haven't heard anything. I also heard Berkeley faculty reviewed groups of applications and were to report back to the admissions committee by the week of 17 January with their analyses, however haven't heard anything either. Best of luck!
