I too sent an email to cornell enquiring about my application status. They replied that they cannot offer me admission and thought that I would be an excellent applicant for M.Eng. program

Hello everyone.. I am an International applicant I have applied for PhD in BME at UA, USC, CMU, Cornell, UM and Columbia.. Haven't heard from any of these yet and so I sent them an enquiry email. Received reply from U-Michigan and CMU that they would be taking decisions in March end and April. Also UA replied that the admissions committee was favourably impressed with my profile but I have been waitlisted. USC did not reply and I did not enquire with Cornell and Columbia as I have submitted their applications on Jan 2nd and 15th.. If anybody has received any response from these universities please let me know.
