Program Applying To & Interests: Sociology – Medical, Health Care Organizations, Aging, Culture of Health Care Schools Thinking of Applying To: Emory Duke University of Colorado Wisconsin UC San Diego UC San Francisco Washington Texas Utah Vanderbilt Undergraduate institution: Top 20 Public University Undergraduate GPA: 3.2 Last 60 hours of Undergraduate GPA (if applicable): 3.85 Undergraduate Major: Psychology/Communications Graduate institution: Top 5 School of Public Health GPA: 3.4 – worked full time while earning degree Degree: Masters of Public Health – Health Policy GRE Quantitative Score: 740 GRE Verbal Score: 720 GRE AW Score: 6.0 *Scores older than 5 years; need to retake Years Out of Undergrad (if applicable): 8 Years of Work Experience: 8 Describe Relevant Work Experience: Entire work experience has been with two Universities either in Schools of Medicine or Public Health in both management and research positions. I have managed pediatric clinics, large graduate medical education training programs and large research projects in areas of aging, nursing home care, and vaccination disparities. I have over 2 years of qualitative research experience (conducting and analyzing) and have presented at 5 national conferences and have 3 publications in prestigious journals Strength of LOR's: Will have strong LORs from prominent professors and researchers with whom I have taken classes and worked with.
