Working hard is definitely the plan! And yeah, it's really weird to find out that SFU doesn't include percentages in the final grade, it definitely would help for post-grad, but I really appreciate your insight!

Ahh, that kinda makes sense, thank you!

Thank you so much! I'm considering living on campus because it's significantly cheaper than off campus, so I'm not too worried about rent. And thank you for sending the ranking! I wanted to ask, how come the 4.33 scale would be a disadvantage? I'm considering continuing my education after the masters, so I'm wondering!

Yes! I took the Health Studies program!

Ohh, do you mind sending me the rankings, if that's okay! Also, UofA is also CEPH accredited! It's one of the reasons why I'm stuck between them haha. I appreciate the reply!

Hi! How did you choose between the two schools? I also got into both but I'm having doubts about where to go

Hi! For some background info, this is my third time applying and got into 2 schools (got rejected from one and still waiting on two others). I took a certificate program at TMU to improve my GPA (so far I have a 4.1/4.3 average in it), and currently volunteer with different non-profits that focus on sexual health/gender-based violence (that's where my interests lie). I made sure to discuss my experiences and how they impacted my view on public health in my Letter of Intent and how the program at each school would benefit me. I also work in controlled substances, but I made sure to relate my current work experience to my interests. Hope that helps!

I thankfully got into my first choice last week before getting this rejection, so I'm still super pumped haha!

I got rejected from McMaster, but they offered me a chance to apply for the Graduate Diploma in Community and Public Health (GDCPH) program lol; I received the letter in my spam folder so be sure to check it

I also got UofA a few hours ago! The deadline to accept the offer is April 30th in case anyone was wondering

Thank you so so much for your help! I ended up registering for a post-grad certificate in Health Studies!
-
Thank you so much for answering! How were you able to take Masters-level courses after graduating, if you don't mind my asking?
-
So I'm getting rejections from the schools, and at this point, I'm guessing it's because of my GPA. Does anyone here know if taking courses as part of a post-graduate certificate will help with the GPA?

I got the same email. It's a little anxiety-inducing, but it's not a full-on rejection, so that's something!
-
I just got my rejection through email lol, thank you for your help though!

Has anyone heard back from SFU or Ottawa?

I'm a domestic applicant and haven't gotten a response yet!
