As far as I can remember, there were people from India.

Mine is Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz. That's in the neighbouring state. I was following the Grad Cafe forum on Masters degree. There the members have said that they were informed that the language course will be starting on August. Anyway I hope they will let us know all the details soon.

Hi, I received a letter named results of the selection round on 21st saying that they are awarding me a scholarship and they will be sending the letter of award as soon as possible. Haven't received it yet. Sorry I was out of town so couldn't reply back.

As I have heard every year the number gets bigger. But don't loose hope. I'm sure you'll hear good news. In my case, I'm hoping for the best, but prepared for the worst! These days I'm consoling myself thinking that the delay is based on Easter holidays. :')

Mine is not a bi-national doctoral programme. Just checked the portal a while ago (even its the weekend), no updates there. ?

I think we might hear from them by the end of this month. That's what they said at the interview. And from what I gathered from forums from previous years, the last decision is sent from the German head office. Since now we are on easter holidays, I think the timing matches in that sense. Hi, Yes, I also received such email about shortlisting. When i checked the portal yesterday I saw the changes in application status. Btw I'm from Sri Lanka. Our applications are also handled from New Delhi Office. So I think we'll be hearing from them same time. Best of luck for you!

Hi, I wish best of luck for every one. Is there anyone from Indian region who has got any acceptance email or message from DAAD portal? My application status has got changed to 'selection made' and the funding period has reduced to one year. But I haven't received any email yet.
