Not many people seem to have applied to this program(They seem to accept only 1-2 applicants every year) so specifically mentioning it may easily reveal who I am and I try to refrain from that, sorry.
But the school is GW, and the program is neither Epi nor SBS, I can tell you that
Congrats!! ?

i receive a similar invite to chat from tulane who previously ~specifically~ said they don't interview for admissions. i wonder what the difference of using the terms "chat" vs "interview" is!
Heyy which program did you apply to at Tulane and when did they send the invite to chat email? I applied there and did not receive any communication from them.

This seems to be a weird and stressful year to apply for doctoral programs since funding opportunities at most universities are unclear! ?

This does seem to be a very competitive year with one school sharing that about 8% of applicants will be accepted. Good luck everyone with the interviews and stay strong/motivated in this final stretch!
Thank you so much! This is very helpful for those receiving interviews.

Sooooooo worried. Didn't receive any interview. Umich and Emory.... why? I talked with the faculty very well.
I am so sorry to hear that. Do these universities have multiple rounds of interviews?

On the regular home page I searched epidemiology and saw people had posted about interviews for Brown, Rutgers, Harvard, u michigan epi programs, and someone posted they got into Pittsburgh epi. It is outside of this forum though!
Did Rutgers send out their interviews for the Epi track or all tracks? Also, could you please share the link?

Just to share some gems of information I've gleaned in response to the Brown inquiries;
An admissions officer at Brown back in December told me January 20th is the day of interviews--that said, none of us seem to have heard back on it yet lol? So I emailed again the other day (1/9/23) to get an idea of the timeline and they said "As of right now, we cant give you an update, maybe by next week"---so maybe next week lol? Which would be strange if the interview day itself is next week---maybe they're behind schedule and planning to postpone? I've spoken to some current students (BSHS) and they said it was pretty quick between the interview notification, the interview, and the acceptance decision (all between end of Jan and front half of Feb)--so, TBD!
We got this ya'll! Already got my first acceptance//funding offer (UMD College Park Community Health PhD!) ?
Congratulations on your acceptance and funding! ☺️

Hello everyone!
Hope you are all doing well.
How do we decide whether to apply for the Ph.D. or DrPH degree programs? Which program has a better chance of transitioning into academia after graduation? Also, anyone applying to Universities in Texas? ?

Hey, I got into UTHealth! From my knowledge, no one heard back about funding. A student with funding had identified a specific professor/advisor and is working as a GRA on one of their projects.
