Does anyone know if uPenn's ealc MA is rolling? I've heard of a few letters of rejection, but I haven't heard anything myself so far.

I know that normally there are no interviews for these programs, however Berkeley sent my friend an invitation to interview yesterday and no one else received one, so I thought I would ask you all.

Has anyone applied to the Asian Studies MA at Berkeley? I would like to know if there is an interview for this program.

Hi, in the past they did not conduct interviews but I believe that may have changed a few years ago. They usually complete MA acceptances around this time, and PhD acceptances come later at the end of January/beginning of February. Penn operates very differently from every other institution. Individual advisors get allotted an acceptance which is made solely at their discretion. It is good to be in touch with your potential advisor as they will be the one accepting you directly, with the approval of the DGS and then the Dean.

I received a rejection letter from UChicago,Maph today and they said I was rejected because of my language scores, which is not a surprise to me.

Hi I am an undergraduate student from mainland China applying for an MA in East Asian Studies. I have currently finished submitting my application and have not received any interview notification.
As well as I would like to know why the East Asian Studies section of this forum is so cold this year, there are hardly any replies.

Excuse me, does anyone know if there are any results yet for the UPenn EALC MA or Columbia EALAC?Additionally, I've heard that UCLA and IUB have already issued offers for their MA programs, but I haven't heard back yet. Do I still have a chance for admission to these two programs?
