@BanjaraSoul @Justanotheraspirant Hey guys! Congrats for BanjaraSoul.
In the email I received, my POI did mention that they will consider giving me a funded MA position. Just like Justanotheraspirant, I was also scheduled for an interview. They said that they were unable to admit PhD students this year, and I'm just guessing that @Justanotheraspirant you will also be considered as a funded MA.
I'm not sure if I will be able to do my MA again in the US, so still waiting for other PhD offers. Good luck to you all

Congratulations for receiving the offer! Based on what I talked about with my POI before applying, it seems that they're mainly offering MA positions even if we are applying for PhDs, so that's not unusual. And it's probably for the best, their department is really tiny and I don't think a PhD there is really that feasible.
Thank you for this information!
I didn't receive an official offer letter yet, still waiting for some PhD offers to come out...
best wishes with your application too.

Thank you delirious seems like its a tough way to go...

My CU Boulder POI emailed me few days ago, asking if I will accept a funded MA position rather than a PhD one. I replied yes, but she didn't check my email yet, not sure how this is going on....

Hi BanjaraSoul,
Nice to see you here again.
I just submitted my last application for Rutgers comparative literature.
I remember the two of us having applied to a same school. I wish there would be good news for you.
I'm not confident since there were no updates for me till now, just trying to calm down my mind

Congratulations for all of those who did interviews, I guess I wasn't prepared enough to be successful for this round.
I just wanted to ask if your application status was "submitted" or something like "under review" before the interview?
My application status for all the schools I applied for are "submitted".
Thanks!

I have been preparing interview questions. I have an interview with a program tomorrow afternoon. Believe me, you will be relieved and then you will be stressed. Prepapre a cheat sheet with answers to typical questions.
That sounds like the right thing to do!
Thx for your advice and good luck with your interview

Hi, all there! I am glad to find this thread because I now have someone to make me company while my anxiety hits hard here! I am currently enrolled in a MA in Translation Studies, but my main interest is in Japanese literature. I applied to Princeton, Upenn, Umich (ALC & Comp Lit), UCL-Davis (Comparative Literature) and University of Colorado -Boulder (ALC). Haven´t heard from any of them so far, but really hoping we all can get admission for Fall 2023!! Best of luck!!
I also applied to CU Boulder ALC for Chinese modern literature Just hoping that Boulder's decisions will come out early

Seems like there were some interviews conducted by Princeton / Upen/ Ohio
