I think it is now the time to dispel the Yale interview myths. Yes, interview is a good sign, but the Yale history department also do interviews when they feel like they want to get more information from you. Interview at Yale GSAS is by no means mandatory. U can check out Yale political science and find out that their grad program does not normally do interviews. So please,... everyone just calm down.

100 percent fake. Faculties are just returning from holidays and most still haven't even started reading applications. AdComs at Chicago, Yale, and Stanford usually meet in late Jan and early Feb to make decisions. My best advice is stay off grad cafe. U will hear what u need to hear when the decisions arrive.

Most likely fake. My POI told me the AdCom isn't even meeting till late Jan.

Same question. Are interviews mandatory at Yale? I saw conflicting posts from previous years. Some ppl received offers after interviews but some received offers without interviews. Very confused now....
