Is anyone else REALLY struggling to stay calm/positive during this process? I hate just anxiously waiting and checking my email every ten minutes and looking at every update on the results page and overthinking everything and it is just taking a toll on me
I saw on the results page that a couple people received interview requests for NYU HPAM. Does anyone know if they usually send the invites out at once or if they are spread out a bit?
So I was told that they recently changed their funding structure (so overall the individual funding packages should be better) and this is the second application cycle with the new funding requirements. It sounds like faculty did not have advanced notice of this so now many don't have enough funding to fully support PhD students. To be honest it sounds like it has been pretty messy. I was feeling pretty discouraged after hearing about it.
I have not heard anything from admissions at Columbia but I did speak with a professor recently and it sounds like changes in their funding have made the last cycle really rough and probably won't be better this year
I interviewed at BU this week. This is probably a dumb question but is it common to send a thank you email to the people you interview with? I always do it after job interviews but wasn't sure if it was common for this.
