First of all, has anyone gotten an invitation for an interview yet--specifically someone pursuing an MTS?
I have, or am about to have, two M.A. degrees: one in systematic theology and finishing one on interreligious engagement. There are some blind spots I'd like to have filled in before approaching a PhD (there has been a subtle shift in the real-world application of my vocational aspirations). I've been told that having two graduate degrees [for one of which I managed a 4.0/4.0] will make it a hard sell to get into the MTS program, though I've contacted multiple professors within the program about what work I'd like to do with them. I've also asked a head professor here at Union Theological Seminary if the two graduate programs would be detrimental to making it in, to which he laughed wildly and simply said, "No. No, it won't."
Any thoughts, please? Thank you in advance.
