If I had any contact with POIs I would've done the same but I wasn't able to establish contact with the professors I wanted to work with prior to my application (I emailed them and got ghosted)
Nope, complete radio silence. I've been scouring Reddit and gradcafe and so far it seems like no one has heard anything and I have no idea if people are being exceptionally quiet this year or if everything is just delayed.
Has no one even so much as received an informal phone call yet? It seems like no one on Reddit or GradCafe has even heard a peep from Stanford about education PhDs.
What exactly did the admissions office say to you? From what Gradcafe has said historically, most people who get accepted get an interview. A few rare cases get accepted without one.
I haven't heard anything about interviews from Stanford yet either. I know in previous years they have released them 1-2 weeks after MLK day so it is close.
I did receive an interview from Vanderbilt (PhD in education policy) last week so other universities have started setting up interviews.
