is anyone else waiting to hear back from northern michigan? they're my last school and i feel like i've been waiting forever for news

CNF, and it was a form rejection (which is fine, given how many applicants they have to notify)

got accepted to colorado! no funding unfortunately, and the nonresident tuition is... pricey for sure. how do we feel about unfunded/low-funded programs? is the juice worth the squeeze?

it's definitetly an option, and i took that route as a backup, but after getting some acceptances, i can tell you that there is significantly less funding for MAs than MFAs. if i accepted any of the MA in literature programs i applied to, i'd be taking on tens of thousands of dollars of more debt. unless you're really passionate about literature or plan to get a phd, i don't know how helpful the degree would be

so sorry to hear about the rejection! oregon state's program is just so tiny that even the top 5% of applicants are fighting tooth and nail for a waitlist spot. sending good vibes for wvu!

did anyone else apply to colorado state? i haven't heard anything from them but because of the competitive funding i wonder if they'll have a larger pool of waitlists/acceptances

i got waitlisted for OSU! i'm absolutely ecstatic, and it's my top choice for grad school. if anyone got an acceptance and plans to go somewhere else, please reach out to the department quickly! it's my dream school and i'm shaking with excitement right now!!! omg

yeah, same here. i feel like i used up all my creative energy for applications, and now i'm too busy with life and the constant waiting to get anything done. fingers crossed we all get good news (and some inspiration and energy to write!!)

no worries! this is my first application cycle for MFAs, and i'm not sure when i can start expecting CNF decisions. which schools did you apply to?

i just found this forum a few days ago and i'm freaking out with everyone else, lol. glad to know i'm not the only one tortured by the wait. one question, are there any other CNF applicants in this group? i've seen decisions being sent out for poetry and fiction, but it seems like there's radio silence on CNF and i'm getting nervous
