Mostly I lurk on this feed and have been sad and depressed racking up rejections - 6 in total now - but just got my first acceptance in fiction at UNCW - i'm so happy! It is def in my top programs - would love to connect with anyone else that got in! And the lesson I think is be patient - what's meant to be will be I was starting to worry I'd accidentally written a swear word in my personal statement or something haha

And I'm assuming probable rejections from Hopkins and NC State since people have heard from them, but my other 14 programs no one has heard from -- just crazy that I happened to apply to so many programs that notify later in the game - ugh

Oof - rejection from Boston. That makes 2 with Northwestern. 16 pending. Feeling so nervous. Really holding out hope that I get into Virginia Tech, seeing as I got that "final round" notice last week. At least it's news though -- hearing radio silence from so many programs has been stressful.

Hello! Been lurking on the thread for a while. One Northwestern rejection so far, waiting on everything else. Does anyone know how long it typically takes Iowa to make their phone calls? Basically want to know at what point I should stop hoping haha
