Hi! Congrats for your acceptance to Rutgers-Camden! Just a quick question if you could help me out here... were you waitlisted initially at VCU and did you get a form letter today with the rejection? I was waitlisted and then got the rejection form letter today, but heard nothing from the department themselves about being removed from the waitlist. This process is such a whirlwind!

Just want to say that is really beautiful. Thank you for writing this. Also know the level of competition and subjectivity that comes into the MFA admissions process. I keep reminding myself that if I don't get in anywhere, it is not a reflection of my writing ability or hard work. In the end, being a writer is so deeply meaningful to me that as long as I choose to continue writing (whether someone accepts me or not), I am on the right path.

I'm also in the same place. Still waiting on 2, but other than that it's just one waitlist and all rejections. It's definitely been tough, especially as the waiting game has just been extended...

Thanks. I left draft because it was getting stressful! But I'm glad to hear that. I'm trying to deduce what options I have left... as I've been waitlisted somewhere, but not gotten accepted yet.

Curious if anyone has heard from these programs for poetry? Iowa State, UMD, ASU.
