Yeah, just going through the exercise has a lot of value. Getting more precise with one's methods, getting more used to applying for major awards, etc. Lots of good upside to applying, even if the process isn't always easy.
Got my results at 12:43AM today. I was recommended for funding but didn't get an award. Too bad. Oh well, I just have to keep moving forward!

Just a little suggestion in case anyone didn't think of it to check your spam/junk folders. I'm not sure if SSHRC emails would show up there, but I can see how they could trigger spam/junk filters.
Good advice. I decided a long time ago that I'm not allowed to look at my application after it's submitted, or I'm sure I would be doom reading it right now.
I'm in a similar situation. If I get an award, I'll have to go on education leave from my research job with the Government of Canada. And my current leave ends in May, so the decision needs to happen soon.😬
