have they notified those that were accepted? I'm on the waitlist and find it a little strange if they haven't told accepted folks yet
I heard a friend of my friend got accepted

From what I've read, it seems to have happened around the same time - like late April.
I think this is the first year they're receiving applications online and not by mail. Maybe their schedule is different(?)That's a fair point! hmm they did extend the deadline for 3 days so maybe interviews will get delayed a week? if anyone gets interview invite, please let the rest of us know haha

I haven't received any interviewed request yet

Do they have a history of always contacting the references? I've had a few friends who attended skowhegan and some who made the final round. None of them ever mentioned their references being contacted.
Thank you for this info! I still have some hope then. I checked with my references and none of them was contacted so I was just curious if I was still in the run.

Does anyone know if any of your references got contacted to speak about your candidacy? I wonder if they don't get contacted at this point, should I assume I didn't make the cut?

I wonder how's the application pool this year? I know last year they received a large number of applicants and had to delay announcing the result until the end of April or so. Hopefully it wont be the case this year

I was going for the art + technology programs at each of these schools.
MIT: Rejected
UCLA: No news yet (or interview)
CalArts: Half tuition
Parsons: Full tuition
Feeling very inclined to go with Parsons unless UCLA comes out of nowhere.
Looks like there are also teaching options at Parsons to help cover some cost of living in NYC.
Congrats to you all and good luck!
Congrats, may I ask which program at MIT did you apply for?

has anyone interviewed with MIT's Act, Culture, and Technology Program (SMACT)?

Has any one heard from SMACT???
are you waiting for an interview invitation or their decision? I applied in 2019 and 2020 and got interviewed in both years. Their interview invitations went out around mid-Feb in both years. They should have finished all the interviews by now. Good luck

I havent heard anything either but according to the pattern of last year, we should have received an email to request interviews by now. Acceptance and rejection emails should be sent out this week or next week. They say early June as I remember. Good luck, everyone
