Hi! I think you should email orpas to be certain (orpas@ouac.on.ca) but I had a similar breakdown for courses when I applied last year (I took 2 spring courses in my third year into fourth) and based on my calculation, they took my 4th year first sem grades, my two spring course grades, my entire third year grades, and then averaged my entire second year to be “4 credits worth” (4+2+10+4 = 20). Hopefully you find that ORPAS will compute the subGPA in your favour!

Hey all, I am on Western’s waitlist, but today randomly received two emails from 2 different labs within the school of CSD asking about my interest in pursuing a MSc in speech and language science. Did anyone else receive emails of this sort? Also, do any current Western students have any insight related to the research program and how professional opportunities compare to the professional MClSc program? Please let me know:)

Hey! I was also put on the SLP waitlist but did not receive an email. If you don’t mind me asking, what did it say? Like did it acknowledge that the class was full and that’s why or did it not mention anything about the waitlist? I’m wishing you the best of luck for an audiology seat :)

Hi all, Some of you may know that several Canadian medical schools have come out with decisions over the past few days, and I’ve seen people speculating about what the time they received a waitlist email says about their relative rank. Would anyone who was waitlisted at Dal be willing to tell me when they received their waitlist email? Reading all of that on Reddit has made me curious lol. I received mine on April 27th at 8:58am EST. TYIA

Hey! I’m in your same situation (having been waitlisted and eager to see if it’s beginning to move). In previous threads, there are people who received offers from the waitlist in early June, July, and even late August! I would love to hear from a current Dal student regarding whether they know of any trends related to waitlist movement, but as someone hoping for a chance like you, I would just say don’t feel discouraged yet because many people have declined Dal on this thread for other schools and you really never know!:)

I received my waitlist offer from Dal this morning. Does anyone know if it’s possible to find out where you are on the waitlist/how many people usually get waitlisted? Thanks in advance:) edit: I just read in the email that “there is no particular order in which your application appears on our waiting list”. Im guessing that means I can’t find out? I’m maybe wondering then how often people are usually taken off the waitlist.

If you don’t mind me asking, did it say anything in the email about stats or how many people applied? If they were sending acceptances out in waves? Or what it means to have received an early acceptance? Also, did you apply to both AUD and SLP? Thanks:)
