Thanks for your reply, kor_to_nola! I am wondering which program would make me a more competitive applicant for a PhD in Biblical Studies. I do not have a specific denominational affiliation but am open to the possibility of pursuing ministry. -

Hi, everyone I am always grateful for the helpful discussions from this forum. I was accepted at HDS(MDiv) and PTS(MDiv) and have received almost identical financial aid from both. I am interested in Biblical studies, specifically the Hebrew Bible/Old Testament and literary criticism. I am also planning to apply for doctoral work in the future. It is a difficult decision as both schools are great.. (FYI: Living costs and housing are critical factors to me.) Any thoughts and opinions would be appreciated.
