(1) I was a biology major, with major GPA 3.70 and lower overall GPA (due to bad grades in freshman classes); 4.00 for the last 1.5 years.
(2) I meet all math requirements, and I have all As in these classes.
(2) Lots of research experience - 3 labs as undergrad, now working in research. One project was computational biology.
(3) But I have bad GRE Scores! I took the GRE more than once and my scores are very inconsistent. I got a high verbal and a high quantitative score but not in the same test.
(4) I graduated from a decent public university but not "top" anything, since I couldn't afford to pay tuition and I got a full scholarship for this one.
Should I bother applying for the only BME program in my state (which in the top 5) or go for an out-of-state program?
