If it helps ease your conscience a little, I didn't get an offer of admission from dal until end of April 2023 - I think they send admissions in waves. Two years ago I got a rejection from them around the same time (April 2022)

Just emailed McMaster to ask about waitlist movement and they said they have reached their target admission this year so they won't be sending out further admissions to people currently on the waitlist, and they can't guarantee if anyone would be moved off the waitlist

I emailed Western a few days ago to ask some questions about the program and I haven’t heard back yet, has anyone had the same issue?

I am on the waitlist for McMaster. I did email them yesterday to see what position I am on in the waitlist and they told me my exact position. I also asked today if they would be able to tell based on past years how many applicants are taken off of the waiting list but they said it depends on the year so it would be difficult to tell me. They did say that last year no applicants were taken off of the waitlist since everyone accepted their offers from McMaster, but that it was the first time that has ever happened 😕 I was asking because I wanted to determine if I should provisionally accept Western since provisional acceptances become firm on May 2 and I don't want to miss my chance with McMaster if they send out acceptances to waitlisted applicants later than that date.

I actually didn’t! When I applied they said it was recommended to have a CDA but I applied with just a bachelor’s degree under my belt

For anyone who is curious, I asked McMaster if they would be able to disclose where I am on the waitlist and they told me my exact place rather than quadrant!

I got a job as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant (or SLPA)! And I volunteered at a seniors centre doing activity planning and working on companionship

Just jumping on to say I got accepted into Western SLP and Audiology and waitlisted for McMaster!! Just wondering if anyone knows what the provisional acceptance really is - I'm assuming if I provisionally accept Western SLP it still holds my place with Western's program while I wait for the potential to come off of the waitlist at McMaster?

Coming from someone who applied for my first time last year and got rejected everywhere, it really does make the difference of gaining experience over the next year! I got really down on myself but I found a job in the field and gained more volunteer experience and this year I got acceptances! Also as a side, an SLP I work with told me the waitlist doesn't always mean the worst - she told me she had been on the top of the waitlist for a school back in her day so anything is possible!

I checked this because the wait is literally killing me and I got emails around 12:15am last year on April 1 so I think we should be getting them tonight around midnight

I got that email too while I was at work and I was excited for a split second until I realized it was about account activation 🥲
