  1. Hi everyone! Current 1st year UofT student here. Just popping in to congratulate everyone who is getting acceptances and waitlists - for those still waiting, don’t lose hope! I am always available to answer any questions about UofT. And, if you are deciding between schools - I went through that really tough process last year as well and can provide insight if needed! Congrats again everyone!!
  2. Hi!!! Previous applicant here who had a successful MMI last year. PM me!
  3. Hi! First year UofT SLP student here this may be different from last year’s cycle but when I first opened the application there was a spot to submit this part separate from the first section they specify, but once I had pasted that first section of my SOI into the text field they provide, that extra volunteer section simply disappeared. I ended up submitted my application without including anything like that, and I know other applicants who did the same and still got in! I think it may have had something to do with the fact that UofT and a bunch of other schools were still not requiring volunteer hours/clinician references due to COVID for my application cycle. If that has changed though, please take this with a grain of salt!! You can always see if there’s a way for you to contact ORPAS directly, or ask the UofT student affairs admin Robin Prince for more information!
  4. There’s a lot of info on this if you look up: ORPAS Referee Requirements if they have the appropriate type of email address, you include that information in the Reference section of ORPAS, and then you send a request. Once this is sent, the rest is processed on ORPAS’s side! I reached out to two of my references by email and one in person. It’s definitely up to you and what you think would work best!
  5. As early as you’d like! You never know what other letters of recommendation your profs might be asked to do and the holidays can be a busy time with exams/marking etc. Also, asking early enough allows them time to gather any information they might want to see from you (a bit about why you are applying, transcripts, what you’d like them to capitalize on in their reference etc) P.S. Most schools reach out to the references directly, either after you send the request through ORPAS or after you submit your application!
  6. Hi!! I am an incoming 1st year student at UofT. I’m excited for everyone who is going through the application process, it is a fun, yet intense time. As a 1st time applicant, I received offers from Mac, Western, UofT and McGill, and was rejected from UofA. I am more than happy to answer any questions about the application process. My PMs are always open Best of luck to everyone!
  7. Hi everyone! I decided to start a UofT FB group. I think my previous post got flagged for including the link, so if it doesn’t come back up, feel free to PM me for the invite link
  8. Firmly accepted my offer to UofT - this will open a spot up to someone on the waitlists for Mac and Western if/when a UofT group gets made, I would love to join!
  9. If you don’t mind, could you PM me with some reasons that lead you towards choosing UofT? I’m currently stuck between Mac and UofT!
  10. Congrats to everyone getting waitlists at McGill! I’m not sure if they let you know where on the list you fall, but I will be opening up a spot (once my portal updates from “in review” lmao) because I’m going to accept an offer from an Ontario school.
  11. Thank you!! I can definitely share, feel free to shoot me a PM
  12. Congrats everyone who received offers and waitlists! If the website would let me I would heart everyone's responses. I got acceptances from Western, UofT, and Mac. It's a huge decision and for anyone with any advice, I would love to chat! Good luck to everyone as they wrap up any undergrad degrees/coursework, and/or prepare to make decisions and plans for their graduate studies!
  13. I got an email from McGill at about 1:30!! Someone from the fb group called and they said they are still planning on rolling out acceptances over the next few days. Good luck everyone!
  14. I think it’s because they let applicants know in mid-late March last year, but changed it to April 2 this year
