I don't ever remember results being released on the weekends. What makes me nervous about the email response I received from SSHRC was the phrasing. It makes me think that we could have them by month end, but that it isn't a guarantee ā "We anticipate that the results will be available by the end of April 2023".
I just received the following response from SSHRC to an email I had written inquiring about release dates... key word being anticipate for me.
Good morning,
The results of the doctoral awards competition will be sent electronically via the SSHRC extranet. We anticipate that the results will be available by the end of April 2023.
You will receive an e-mail with more details in the coming weeks.
Sincerely,
Nicholas
I don't mind at all! My undergrad is a BSc Applied Human Nutrition, followed by a MSc in Applied Human Nutritionā which sounds very clinical (and it is) but my work is more social-food-justice driven.
How about yourself? You've got my attention with youth climate activism. Do say more
Your research sounds very interesting and obviously quite important! I hope you get funded :)... mine is a mixed-methods, phenomenological project. In broad strokesāgender and food insecurity experiences.
I'm noticing from my previous emails that the results weren't released until the evening on April 25th. Specifically, I received mine at 6:55 (ADT). So, maybe we'll know around then. Hopefully, there isn't a work-around like last year.
I hope you're right and it is today. It wouldn't be so painful if SSHRC would release a solid annual dateā e.g., results are posted annually on the last Monday of Aprilāor something like that.
