Hi all,
I found GradCafe recently, and as someone who has few people in my circle that have been to graduate school, it made a lot of sense to ask questions here!
For context, my background is:
First Class Honours from top 10-15 global university; WES equates my performance to a 3.80 GPA.
This degree is in economics (with further courses in econometrics and computational methods)
1 year as a Teaching Assistant for Marketing Science, Customer Research and Business Analytics courses
18 months in product development and customer research for a big technology company (non-FAANG)
Created the decisioning system for how users get assigned into tiers in loyalty program, spearheaded customer insights research, so great experience here
GitHub portfolio for computational mathematics and statistics
GRE: 161 V 168 Q 5.0 AW
Upon recommendation from professor in a top program, taking extra credits in maths and stats before my application is due
I am pushing myself for top programs (targeting Oxford, Zurich, Stanford, Columbia and the like) but I want to prioritise having a great life and learning experience, above all else. Could anybody evaluate if I am pitching myself correctly, and would there be any programs that people would recommend for me?
Thank you all!
