Hi everyone, I am a BS Chemistry graduate from Hong Kong and I wonder how high my chances are for admission to PhD/MS/MA chemistry programs in any UC (University of California). Below are my stats. Undergrad Institution: City University of Hong Kong Major(s): Chemistry Major GPA: ~3.5 Overall GPA: ~3.5 GRE Score: N/A (did not take) Research Experience: 1 year (Conducted final year research project in a drug discovery lab, performed organic synthesis of bioactive compounds, but no publications) Letter of Recommendation: 3 (2 of them are from my research PI and mentor) Awards/Honors/Recognitions: Dean's list (1 semester) Applying to Where: Any University of California It seems that my chances of getting into UC Chemistry graduate program(s) are not that high. Will it be better that I take post-bacc (chemistry/ science) related courses so that it increases my chances of getting accepted into UC Chemistry graduate program(s)? Thanks veryyy muchhh!!!
