I am looking to apply into a Lit and Language PhD, however I received my MA in 2021 and haven't really done anything in the language since then. Planning to apply for 2025 season. Is it necessary for me to take a Non matriculating MA course in the field now to be more competitive or such a gap in studies is not a big issue? My language skills are good and I have an MA thesis in the language.
