What would you say are the chances of a wait-listed applicant getting admitted? There are quite a few of us who haven't heard back. I don't feel too optimistic about my chances.

Got the following reply from Michigan - "We plan on making a few more offers this week and perhaps some in March. We will notify you via e-mail as soon as a decision is made."

Yes, I did receive my admit and funding info yesterday.

Anyone has the dates for Michigan's visit weekend? And anyone still to hear from them?

Berkeley seems to have 'waitlisted and then rejected' students. Anyone else who still hasn't heard back anything from them?

This was probably my favorite thread on gradcafe, thanks to you, Eager. I loved your optimism, something all of us needed very much right now. I was soo hoping you would get in. I'm sorry for you. I feel so low right now, as if I was the one rejected. But this isn't the end of the road, Eager. I'm pretty sure there's something much much much better waiting for you. You just have to believe.

Not unexpected. Atleast I have started hearing back from schools now!

I see 2 rejects on the results page. Both say "via website". My status still unchanged at 'submitted'.

Let's see. i haven't seen too many Berkeley admits this year. So, I have a feeling there will be some more before the visit weekend for sure.

I'm sorry, but I would have to disagree with you on that. Cornell has a pretty good MSE program. I would suggest going through a few different rankings, talking to some grad students before coming to such a conclusion.

Talked to a Cornell professor. He said that admits will be sent out right until the end of February. They have started with domestic applicants. International students should expect to start hearing back around mid February.

Cornell has started sending out MSE admits.

Haven't heard back from anyone.
