I am applying to the Political Science Ph.D. program at the University of Washington and received an email from a POI that invites me for a quick chat on Zoom. The conversation went fine, but I am still super nervous right now about the final result.
According to the email, I am among their top candidates, but there is also a line that makes me very anxious: "Please note that we have not yet made any admission decisions, nor will I be making that decision." I wonder whether there is a big chance of being actually admitted.
