Got a rejection too.

It appears that the Communications and Media (ICR) department at UIUC has forgotten my application😳. While other candidates have received decisions (rejections, waitlists, or acceptances), my status remains ‘awaiting decision.’😢

Hello there! Thank you for sharing the information with me. Unfortunately, it seems that I was not nominated for the fellowship as I did not receive any notification. I reached out to Dr. Farrar earlier today and she informed me that there are currently no available GA/RA positions until students start to decline their offer.

I am extremely stressed right now 😮‍💨 and anxiously waiting for news on funding. It will determine my next steps.
