If I want to do a PhD in the future, is it better to do a funded postbacc or a funded masters? I can’t tell how one vs two years, degree and no degree, etc are weighed, as well as the timeline of applying (for example in a one year program it would be hard to get good recommendation letters in fall semester because you won’t have spent much time with your professors, right?).

Any idea what’s going on for pre-doctoral fellowship applicants? I haven’t received a single email from Princeton yet, which makes me a little nervous about my chances, as well as whether I did actually submit my application. (I’ve checked about twice now, and the answer is yes, I have actually submitted it.)

@voxanonyma I think that’s right, although I’ve head back from a couple schools already (two whose deadlines were December 15 and which was January 1). Still waiting on a couple others. Edit: I’m trying to reply to voxanonyma but don’t know how
