  1. i know it was super fast and so upsetting. i asked about the extra seats they had this year (102 total between speech and audi), and they said the allocated all the seats to audiology which brings it from 30 to around 50 now. such a big increase. so slp got no increase which rlly sucks 😢😢
  2. I emailed them to ask yesterday... unfortunately the class is filled as of Tuesday
  3. hey! you can email earmouth email to find out what third you are in. they just wont tell you your exact spot
  4. hey! i emailed and was told i am top third of the waitlist! how about you?
  5. i shadowed an slp who went to mac and she convinced me to apply there as i was not planning on it before. she said that she thought mac grads were the most prepared for clinical because of the way they learn in class. she said that since they do case studies and navigate it in groups essentially, the students adjusted better when it came time to clinical, as the case studies were like real patients in a way. i didn’t get accepted to mac, but she did change my mind to applying there this year! if that’s any help at all hahaha
  6. yes decisions are midnight april 1st! i guess the only rolling offers would be for waitlist
  7. what kind of update did you see on your account?
  8. First, are you able to share the link to the discord chat for SLP? Im really interested in being apart of that as well as this. As for your question, I would say maybe they send a conditional offer? I remember seeing somewhere for Dalhousie's applications that you have to send a final transcript in the springtime if you are accepted to show your marks in those courses that were in progress, so maybe it would be a similar situation for western? You could always email them; they're pretty quick at answering any questions (at least in my experience). Hopefully that made sense, lol. Sorry I couldnt be more help
  9. hey! last year the MMIs were sent out around family day i believe? i would assume similar for this year
  10. ya this is the worst part! i check orpas everyday as if the results are going to be in already lmaooo. i applied last year too and i am more confident in my letter this year because now i have gained more experience in the field so i feel like that improved my letters so much. but ya the word count being 3000 characters with spaces, not even letters, makes fitting everything you want to say so difficult. i wish they made it a little longer but im glad its over lol i was editing mine for months.
  11. Hi! Your stats seem pretty good but they use a sub gpa rather than a full gpa meaning they will only consider the average of your most recent courses (10 full or 20 half credit). depending on the school, they do put more emphasis on grades like mcmaster, but i would say your resume looks pretty good! good luck with you applications for next year!
  12. oh that is super weird especially if the application submitted! maybe you could call your bank to see if it will show up in a couple of business days? i hope it all works out
  13. did you get an emailed receipt? i went through the CIBC student thing and paid through my bank there (i am not a cibc user) and it went through right away. did you do it a different way?
  14. Hi! I haven't done the CDA program but I did apply for it this year as a backup option as this is my second time applying to the SLP programs. I think GPA is also one of my problems but hoping for the best this year! In taking the CDA program, I think it would be amazing experience for sure as I have talked to some other people who have taken it and they have really loved the experience and they said its good prep for SLP. Although, I am not sure that CDA courses can be used in the sub GPA calculation. I could be totally wrong lol, but I don't know if all the SLP programs accept college level courses / references from college level professors. Again, I think doing this program would be a good opportunity and I did apply for 2025, but I also have to look into what schools are / are not accepting from colleges. I haven't heard much about the ENMU program so I can't really speak on that but would love to know more about this too! Is it just pre requisite courses, or do you also come out of it with a certificate like the CDA program? I hope any of this helped, lol! Good luck to you as well with your applications in the future
