I was accepted into both math phd programs, just curious what the vibe of the departments are. Is there a nice community amongst the grad students or is it more competitive? I did my undergrad at a tiny school where everyone knew each other and there was a very strong sense of community in the math department, including amongst the faculty, so losing that is something I'm fearful of in going to such big schools.
