  1. Hi, I plan to apply for a Master's in Biostatistics for the Fall of 2025. I would appreciate it if anyone could provide feedback. Major: Statistics GPA: 3.68 (overall), 3.97(Major, math and stats courses) The courses I have taken are: 2018-2019: Introductory Financial Accounting(B), Introductory Macroeconomics(A-), Linear Algebra 1(A+), Calculus 1(A+), Introductory Microeconomics (A+), Introduction to Mathematical Scientific Computation (A-), Calculus 2 (A+), Introduction to Mathematical Finance (A+), Advanced Calculus 1 (A+) 2019-2020: Computational Thinking (W), Discrete Math with Application 1(D-), Computer Architecture (C-), Principles of Programming (A+), Cs Practice & Experiment: Software Development (D), Data Structure & Algorithms (W-withdrawal), Discrete Math with Application 2 (W-withdrawal), Introduction to Sofware Development (W-withdrawal), Cs Practice & Experiment: Theory to Practice (W-withdrawal) 2022-2023: Introduction to Mathematical Reasoning (A+), Introduction to Differential Equations (A+), Applications of Linear Algebra (A+), Introductory Physics (A+), Introduction to Probability (A+), Financial Economics (A+), Advanced Calculus 2 (A+), Introduction to Data Science Method (A+), Statistical Methods and Application (A+), Decision Making with Analytics (A+) 2023-2024 Mathematical Finance (A+), Numerical Linear Algebra (A+), Applied Regression Analysis: SAS (A+), Mathematical Statistics 1 (A+), Introduction to Analysis (A+, anticipated), Numerical Method for Differential Equations (A+, anticipated), Data Science Methods (A+, anticipated), Generalized Linear Modesl (A+, anticipated) Research Experience: 2 summer research Letter of Recommendation: Three from faculty professors (I did research with two of them) Applying: Michigan Ann Arbor, UNC, Duke, Minnesota, Brown, and Washington I started as a Statistics Major and switched to Computer Science after my first year. I had a really bad year during 2019-2020 due to personal circumstances and Covid when I was in Computer Science. I switched back to Statistics Major and got all A+'s. Do you think my grades in 2019-2020 will hurt my chances? I am a bit worried that those courses are computer science which may be relevant to Biostatistics (even though they are not the requirements).
