  1. I did as well! I met with the program director briefly yesterday over Zoom and then accepted the offer. We will be in the program together next year - please feel free to connect if you’d like.
  2. Has anyone else here been accepted into Tulane’s program and have financial aid options from them?
  3. I’m with you minus any employer help. Mortgage plus kids = potentially taking the least expensive option I have even if it might not be the top choice otherwise. Unfortunately I work for a university that doesn’t offer DrPH, so any benefits they have are just for tuition at their own institution and nothing for classes elsewhere. Are the fellowships ones with the school you’ll be attending specifically or more general ones?
  4. If I don’t get off the waitlist for Tulane and don’t get into UNMC, I do plan to accept for Rutgers. If I end up with both or either of those as options, I will be reevaluating and cost is definitely a factor (UNMC costing the least as they charge in-state tuition for everyone in the program).
  5. Update: rejection letter posted in the portal now. No email yet, I kept refreshing in the portal and it showed up finally.
  6. Same…I just want them to make it official. 😑
  7. I just got an email notifying me I was accepted into Rutgers program!
  8. I don’t know, but I’m in the same position you are with mine saying application under review still (health security track for me) and I have the sinking feeling they sent out acceptance notifications first, that it won’t be good news 😔. I hope I’m wrong! I haven’t seen anyone here or on the DrPH Reddit board say anything other than accepted or still under review, so it doesn’t seem like anyone has received rejections yet.
  9. Congrats! That’s what I applied to as well, still under review. You’re the first one I’ve seen report acceptance from this track between here and Reddit!
  10. Congrats! Which concentration (and track if applicable) did you get into?
  11. Someone on Reddit posted this: JHU Implementation Science folks: expect decisions THIS WEEK!! They uploaded decisions to SOPHAS last week and will notify students of their decision no later than Friday. Good luck!! So, take that for whatever it’s worth. Might only be that track, but still can give a little hope.
  12. That’s awesome - this is a top choice for what I want to do with it so it would be a good fit for me in that regard. I appreciate the little bit of hope offered 😆
  13. Well, I was waitlisted for Tulane. Better than the first two rejections at least, now to continue waiting to see if space opens up. I wonder how many they put on a waitlist.
  14. Thank you - makes me feel better I didn’t miss something earlier.
  15. Had you already registered in their portal? I don’t think any of my communications so far have mentioned one.
  16. I really hope you get some acceptances from those four!
  17. I was in for pandemic preparedness, maybe it’s specific for programs. Or perhaps it’s good if yours wasn’t flagged yet! I saw on a Reddit board someone mentioning the portal updates which is why I went to check.
  18. Similar. IU: rejected Tulane: waiting Emory: no email but portal today shows denied and there is a decision letter there that states I wasn’t selected 😔. JHU: same as you, supposedly mid-March from their last email Rutgers: I asked for an update and got around the first week of March as the estimate. UNMC: forwarded to final review, they told me “by mid-April” but past years comments show it might come a bit sooner.
  19. I got the same one, and my heart dropped when I saw the subject line of “Thank You for Your Interest in the DrPH Program” since that often signals to me it’ll be something like “thank you for your interest, sorry you weren’t selected” 😩😬. But I am happy it’s still in progress.
  20. Yeah, that has also contributed to all of my optimism disappearing. Work is so depressing because of that, and now so is this 😩.
  21. oh that’s a bummer, but I appreciate you sharing what you’ve heard. Thank you!
  22. could you clarify - say that’s the deadline for notifications?
  23. I appreciate your optimism! My job is federally funded so we have been very stressed lately and I’m struggling to find much positive in general. I did apply quite early for the programs I selected so I had hoped it might get me a decision right away.
  24. Have you heard anything yet? I’m waiting on that too, it still shows application under review status in Opus for me. I saw someone else on this thread mentioned they did receive an acceptance for this track last week. I am feeling like that’s not good news for me at this point.
  25. I haven’t heard, but I’m not feeling super optimistic about getting into the program so expecting a rejection anyway. Long shot, and with the current decimation of public health my optimism has just diminished :(.
