  1. I'm sure by now you have chosen and started classes. I would like to respond in case someone else reads this. I looked at a program at GW, but chose IWP. As with any small school, we have growing pains; however, we have scholar practitioners who have either worked in the business and now do consulting or are currently working in their related field. Our professors are published and bios can be found at IWP.edu. We have a partnership with the Army where instead of going to NDU, the officer can chose to attend IWP for two years to obtain a graduate degree. We have a lot of military officers and professionals in the National Security/International Affairs arena, i.e. State Department, DIA, DoD, CIA, Navy, Army, FBI, Dept. of Treasury, and various private contracting firms and diplomatic staff. I have classmates from all over the US and internationally. I have had/have classmates from Princeton, Univ of Florida, Univ of Buffalo, Penn State, UT, London School of Economics, Dickinson College, Baylor, TCU, and St. Mary's (that I can recall). I moved from Texas to attend classes. Our marketing department leaves something to be desired which is why you may not have found a lot in your searches. There are a list of events and news on the website. I would recommend anyone interested signing up for e-mail notices of upcoming events. I just went to a lecture at school Friday night given by the the Assistant Chief of Staff of the Army. Owen Smith, son-in-law of former CIA Director William Casey, is on our board and frequents events with his wife (Casey's daughter). We also have Career Services and in the short time I have been there, have had several recruitment events at school. i.e. Military Intel (Marines), CIA, Secret Service. I currently have friends and current classmates with internships at State, DIA, Heritage Foundation, and Diplomatic Security with several others already hired with the FBI. There are many more examples, but I cannot list everything. Please remember that professors may be biased because the field is competitive especially when it comes to recognition and publishing. Again, go to www.iwp.edu and get on the e-mail list for events. It will be eye opening and educational. We also have a lot of fun with tight networks because of our size. Thanks,
