Has anyone else received an update (WL or rejection)?

Yale won't be for a few days at least - last year people received calls on the 15th. I'm also waiting on Harvard. Still no word from NYU...

I think it may be time for me to give up on this one... 😭 oh well, maybe there is hope for a waitlist

Nothing from me either. FWIW, it is very early morning in the Bay right now.

So sorry for both of you - luckily avoided this because I did not apply to Brown or BC. Already interviewed with NYU but have no idea when I will hear back. Hoping to get an answer this week because I feel like it is a really good fit after being able to speak with some faculty. I felt good about the interview, and a POI said some very kind things about my writing sample.

Do we think next week is the week? Seems like acceptance calls came during the first week of February last year. Wishing the best for everyone who applied!

I also applied to the Jurisprudence and Social Policy program at Berkeley, other than that just American Studies programs.

Interviewing with NYU on Friday, hoping I hear news from them soon after that. Feels like a really good faculty fit based on my research interests.

Got an interview request to NYU AS this morning. Anyone else? Time slots are only 15 minutes so I'm not sure what to expect from the interview itself.

Also applied to a few American Studies programs! My research is focused on law/legal history and political economy.

I applied to a few American Studies programs where I saw faculty overlap with my research interests but really hoping I end up at Berkeley next year. I think JSP makes the most sense for my research plans based on faculty in the department and in the law school generally. First two weeks of February should be when admits will hear back because they host a visit day in March.
