Hey friends, I got an acceptance for a scholarship program my university is offering. It would mean that I can study as a regular MA student for creative writing for a year at a UK University, and it is fully funded. I have to get back to them by next week.
I would prefer to be part of a full MFA program in the States. Should I talk to the universities I applied to and haven't heard back by now to explain my situation? Any experiences?
Brown, NYU, Pittsburgh, Rutgers Camden, Chicago, SAIC, Cambridge, Edinburgh,
Had to throw in some UK places
Brown was my earliest application. Do you guys know when to hear back?
This might be a little off-topic, but besides my MFA applications, I did a Fulbright application coming from Germany. I was interviewed and put on a waiting list. Anyone of you has experience with being on a waiting list? Like when to hear back, what are the chances to still get accepted. Would love to hear your experiences!
Hi all,
It's my first round and I'm really enjoying this forum!
I just applied to Brown's MFA program for poetry and nonfiction and am working my way through my list.
For NYU, it seems that you can only choose one program per applicant. Is that right? Or have I misunderstood something?
Best regards and good luck to you all
