Got my rejection as well and my cycle is now over. This cycle was definitely brutal and I don't see it getting ay better next year. Congratuations to everyone who got in.

This Sunday I think marks the 10 week since the application deadline and they did say that we will have our decisions by then in the FAQ for Georgetown. I still did not get anything for IR and I am keeping my fingers crossed. Good luck everyone!

Do you guys think Georgetown probably released all of their admission? I don't see a single admission on the result page other than the one for politcal theory.

Claiming Michigan rejection and they said that they had over 600 applicants and accept around 4 percent. This has been a humbling experience and I believe I am going to find a path outside of academia for a while if I get rejected from the rest. I heard ever since COVID, there has been an increase in the competition for PhD. Do you guys think this will be the norm for the next few years?

So I applied for Notre Dame and the acceptance, waitlist, and the rejections are out. However, I still did not get anything. What do you guys think this means? Should I prepare for a rejection?

Anyone got any news from UMD? I saw one person post a result for waitlist but nothing else. Do you guys think it is fake?

Also claiming Princeton rejection. I thought I was a good fit. I know Princeton is just that competitive, but I agree that it is frustrating.

I got a notification from Johns Hopkins when I tried to apply for a PhD for SAIS that saids "Please Note: The faculty and leadership of Johns Hopkins SAIS are currently undertaking a review of our PhD program and will not be admitting a new PhD cohort for the 2025-26 academic year. We expect to reopen applications next year for the 2026-27 academic year and look forward to considering your application then." Did you apply for the Doctor of International Affairs?

I'm also applying to 9 different programs. I consider myself a relatively strong candidate, but I am worried about the really high amount of applicants this year. Some people suggest that the bad job market is the reason for the rise. Others suggest that the GRE not being a requirement for many schools also fueled the increased number of applications. I just want one acceptance so I can start the next chapter of my life.
