Claiming Princeton Acceptance! IR Subfield. Just want to say to everyone who finds themselves lacking positive news and feeling frustrated—don’t lose hope! I had assumed I was rejected by UW-Madison (as implied by their silence) and was very worried and upset about being waitlisted by Brown after a fairly disastrous interview. But the results period is still long, and the process is full of randomness. The programmes that genuinely have a great fit for us will find the bright spots for us eventually! We’ve got this!

No serious questions are asked - and the professor has even asked about the weather, the quality of food, whether there are good restaurants for my country's food in the city that I currently live in, and whether I can cook. When it proceeds to the more serious part related to my research interests, things have to be cut short as we have spent too much time on random talk - I do not feel I have performed well on this part, as I am clearly over-stressed and confused for what has happened at the beginning. Anyhow, I feel I completely deserve to be rejected, yet I just wish the rejection letters would come faster... The long wait for an already-known negative outcome will turn my soul into a canned herring.

Interviewed by brown a while ago, IR subfield, and received nothing so far; but it is the most bizarre interview experience that I have ever had in my life so far, so I won't feel surprised (even sad) if it is rejected.
